FIRST LOOK: Only The Brave

Sony Pictures gave us the first look at Only The Brave, due out in theaters this October.

The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski.  The screenplay was written by Ken Nolan and Eric Warren Singer and based upon the GQ Article “No Exit” by Sean Flynn.  Only The Brave stars Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, James Badge Dale, with Taylor Kitsch and Jennifer Connelly.

Synopsis:

All men are created equal… then, a few become firefighters. Only the Brave, based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, is the heroic story of one unit of local firefighters that through hope, determination, sacrifice, and the drive to protect families, communities, and our country become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country.  As most of us run from danger, they run toward it – they watch over our lives, our homes, everything we hold dear, as they forge a unique brotherhood that comes into focus with one fateful fire.

Just from watching the trailer, Sony is releasing the film to be considered during Awards Season and I can’t blame them for that.  The trailer is cut in a way in which one can’t help but think of potential nominations.

Sony Pictures will open Only The Brave on October 20, 2017.
