The live-action version of Disney’s Aladdin, already available through Movies Anywhere, is now available to bring home on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.

When the film first came out in May, I was probably a bit more harsh towards Will Smith’s take on the Genie.  Yes, he makes it his own character but when you grow up watching Robin Williams, it’s very hard seeing someone else in the role!

It’s probably too late now but those who already pre-purchased the digital version also got a digital bonus that explores the making of the “Prince Ali” musical number.  Meanwhile, those who purchase on digital get another digital bonus that explores the creation of Jasmine’s new song, “Speechless.”  It’s a great way to reward those who buy digital but at the same time, those of us who savor physical media (such as myself) don’t get to see these bonus features.
