The Goonies, the classic 1985 adventure film originating in the mind of Steven Spielberg, is now available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Steven Spielberg had a hell of a year in 1985. He directed The Color Purple. The fimmaker also produced a pair of films that would become household classics: The Goonies and Back to the Future. Spielberg also produced the Barry Levinson-directed Young Sherlock Holmes. The first film to make its arrival on 4K Ultra HD is The Goonies.
All of the bonus features are held over from previous releases. Warner Bros. certainly had an opportunity to go all-out in terms of new content for the 35th anniversary. It’s disappointing that there isn’t any new content–not even a where they are now for the cast! Granted, I don’t know if there were plans to do so and they got interrupted by 2020’s events. But hey, it would give people more of a reason to make the upgrade to 4K!
Synopsis
