Once Upon a Time in the West Arrives on 4K Ultra HD

Once Upon a Time in the West marks its upcoming 55th anniversary of its American release by making its arrival on 4K Ultra HD. The home release includes a digital copy of the film.

The film has been fully restored as it becomes the 44th film to join the Paramount Presents line. Paramount’s archive team, L’Immagine Ritrovata, and The Film Foundation restored the film from the 35mm Techniscope camera negative. This follows previous restoration efforts in 2007 by The Film Foundation and Martin Scorsese in matching its build and color palette. As such, audiences can now watch the definitive home release of the film with its 165-minute extended cut fully restored.

The release includes the film on both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. The Blu-ray disc features a mixture of new and legacy bonus content. The presentation is in Dolby Vision and HDR-10, along with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and English Restored Mono Dolby Digital.
