Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Returns for Season 2

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 2 picks up right where things left off with the Nublar 5 continuing their search for the Broker.

Fans learned last season that Brooklynn (Kiersten Kelly) was still alive. Much like the fans until the big reveal, Camp Fam had assumed that she was dead. This season’s plotting allows viewers to see what Brooklyn was up to during that time. It turns out to be the usual–a deep investigation into who is buying dinosaurs. Will their storylines intersect? You’ll just have to wait and see as the ten-episode second season plays out.

The second season changes locales to Senegal and Dubai but it otherwise sticks to the same formula: deadly dinosaurs get loose and people run for their lives. Ben (Sean Giambrone) notices something on a Dinosaur Liberation Now video but keeps it to himself. He obviously has his suspicions but in keeping secrets, it could damage friendships with Camp Fam. Most notably this season are the appearances of Stegosaurus, Gallimimus, and Atrociraptor. Bigger threats are always looming around the corner as Camp Fam seeks to confront the Broker about Brooklynn’s death.

As far as the Jurassic World timeline goes, there’s still a bit of time before we reach the start of Jurassic World Dominion. However, this season does offer some insight into why there are more dinosaurs around. Even when one takes breeding into account, there were not THAT MANY dinosaurs still on Isla Sorna, let alone those who escaped Lockwood’s Estate. Anyone familiar with the Jurassic Park or Jurassic World universe will know that InGen had its rivals in both BioSyn Genetics and Mantah Corp. The TV series is allowing viewers to go behind-the-scenes and learn more about these rival companies. Well, not so much with BioSyn outside of Lewis Dodgson’s brief appearance in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 5 and of course, Dominion.

There’s plenty to enjoy in the second season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory as Camp Fam dives deeper into the conspiracy. Even with dinosaurs on the loose, it does not get too graphic in nature. Not surprisingly, the ten quickly paced episodes end in another cliffhanger with yet more surprises on hand. That’s the only way to describe things without getting into spoiler territory. It’s probably fair to say that a third season of production is already underway. Whether any of the animated characters ever make it to live-action in an upcoming Jurassic World film is wishful thinking. I’d love to see it, of course, but I’m just happy that animation allows for the continuing opportunities.
