I Love Lucy: The Complete Series is now available for fans to bring home on Blu-ray and this set is packed with all sorts of bonus features. Not only does the set include all six seasons of the classic sitcom series but the 13 episodes that make up The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour during 1957-60.
While episodes of the classic series are currently available to stream on Paramount+, the collection includes bonus content that you cannot get on the streaming service. For instance, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour is not streaming anywhere to my knowledge. The same goes for the colorized episodes. Obviously, they initially aired in black and white but if you want to see some select colorized episodes, you can do so by way of this set! That’s the beauty of physical media and taking home I Love Lucy: The Complete Series on Blu-ray.
Synopsis
In October 1951, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz debuted the first episode of what was to become one of the best-loved and most watched TV shows of all time. Zany redhead Lucy and her Cuban bandleader husband Ricky Ricardo, along with their neighbors and comic foils Ethel and Fred Mertz (Vivian Vance and William Frawley), got into the most hilarious predicaments ever imaginable. Overflowing with notable guest stars and escapades that never lose their entertainment value, it’s no wonder why everyone still loves Lucy.
