2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards Winners Announced

The winners of the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards were announced during a ceremony taking place at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in central London.

BAFTA previously announced that actor Warwick Davis will be honored with the BAFTA Fellowship. The BAFTA Fellowship recognizes those who have made an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television and is the arts charity’s most prestigious honor.

MediCinema, the British charity dedicated to improving the well-being of patients in NHS hospitals through the power of cinema and the magic of film, was presented with BAFTA’s Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.

BAFTA skews towards British films so Conclave‘s win isn’t much of a surprise. Anora become the new frontrunner during last weekend’s awards shows. Unless Conclave takes home a win during the SAG Awards this weekend, I’m inclined to stick with Anora as the frontrunner heading into Oscar Sunday. Obviously, anything can change in the final weeks of the season.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards voting takes place over three rounds: Longlisting, Nominations and Winners, by BAFTA’s global voting membership, comprising over 8,100 creatives and film industry practitioners. The final round of voting will open on January 22.
