Bewitched: The Complete Series – 60th Anniversary Special Edition on Blu-ray

Bewitched: The Complete Series has finally made the transition to Blu-ray with a 60th Anniversary Special Edition from Mill Creek Entertainment.

The first two seasons are presented in their original black and white presentation. Meanwhile, the 22-disc set is accompanied by an exclusive 36-page Booklet featuring pieces by Bewitched historian Herbie J. Pilato, as well as an episode guide. All in all, you’re looking at north of 100 hours if you’re planning to take in the entire series. If you’re wanting a trial run before deciding to bring it home on physical media, Hulu is adding the show on August 28.

The series was later reimagined in the 2005 Nora Ephron-directed film starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. The metafictional film turned out to be a financial failure.

Synopsis

Elizabeth Montgomery stars as Samantha, a beautiful young witch who falls in love and marries an ad exec, trying her best to fit into the straightlaced suburbia. Dick York and, later, Dick Sargent star as her hapless husband Darrin Stephens, while Emmy Award winner Agnes Moorehead steals every scene she’s in as Endora. Samantha’s meddling mother. Rounding out the ensemble is Darrin’s boss, Larry Tate (David White), and the Stephens’ precocious daughter Tabitha.
