Manifest: The Complete Series is Available on Blu-ray

Following their runs on NBC and Netflix, all four seasons have been packaged together in Manifest: The Complete Series, which recently arrived on Blu-ray. All 62 episodes of the supernatural drama span a 13-disc set released by the Warner Bros. Entertainment.

On April 7, 2013, Montego Air Flight 828 departs Jamaica for New York City but encounters sudden turbulence midair. When the plane lands safely at Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, New York, the 191 passengers and crew are stunned to learn from NSA Deputy Director Robert “Bobby” Vance (Daryl Edwards) that more than five years have passed during their flight, and they were all believed to be dead. As they attempt to reintegrate into a world that has moved on without them, the passengers struggle with changed relationships and altered lives—while also discovering they are now haunted by mysterious visions and inner voices, known as “callings,” that reveal glimpses of the future.

In a world where streaming is not permanent, even for originals, physical media offers fans an opportunity to rewatch series from the comfort of their homes without having to worry if they are available on a streaming service or not. Since Netflix acquired Manifest for its fourth and final season, it would lead one to naturally assume that the streaming service will be its forever home. Time will tell if this will actually be proven to be the case. There is also talk of a spinoff series, which series creator Jeff Rake recently hinted on Instagram in celebration of 828 Day (August 28).

One unfortunate downside of Manifest: The Complete Series is that it has absolutely nothing to offer in terms of bonus features. It offers nothing in terms of featurettes, cast interviews, etc. Basically, it’s really lacking the things that are my make-or-break when it comes to deciding to purchase a home entertainment release. Knowing that, the only people that would really be interested in bringing Manifest home are either the die-hard fans or those who are wary of streaming services deciding to end their license.
