BAFTA announced the nominations for the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards, which will be taking place this year on February 22, 2026. A total of 46 films received nominations.

Actors Aimee Lou Wood and David Jonsson announced the nominations via a live broadcast from BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony will be held at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London and broadcast as-live on BBC One and iPlayer and internationally, as part of an unmissable celebration of British and global film hosted by multi-award-winning actor, writer, producer and TV host, Alan Cumming. Viewers will also be able to find all the essential action from the red carpet, ceremony and beyond across BAFTA’s socials.

The nominees for the EE Rising Star Award were announced on January 14 as Archie Madekwe, Chase Infiniti, Miles Caton, Posy Sterling and Robert Aramayo. It is the only award voted for by the British public and it is presented annually to a performer who has demonstrated exceptional talent early in their careers. Voting is now open at ee.co.uk/bafta.

BAFTA represents one of the world’s largest film industry voting bodies, comprising 8,300 creative practitioners from all corners of the UK and global film industry.

Round One voting for all members ran from December 5, 2025 to January 5, 2026. Round Two voting opened January 9 until January  20, 2026. Round Three voting opens on January 28 until February 17, 2026, and will determine the Winners, to be announced at the EE BAFTA Films Awards on February 22.
