The Warner Archive Collection is back with another collection of Looney Tunes shorts in the newly released Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Vol. 2. The entire set runs 360 minutes and the only bonus features come in the form of select audio commentaries on Disc 2.

In this new helping of Looney Tunes vault rarities, there are over fifty classic cartoons arriving for their first time as part of a remastered Warner Bros. cartoon collection on Blu-ray. Some have been unseen for decades, in part because of how outdated they are with stereotypes. As such, there’s a disclaimer on the screen almost as soon as the disc starts up.

From Bugs’ battle with a fussy genie to Tweety and Sylvester taking on “Hitchcock”, with side trips starring Conrad Cat, Teenage Tom Thumb, and Angelo, the Mighty Flea, this is a carefully curated collection that has it all. The included shorts represent the studio’s first four decades. Among those showcased include the musical 1930s, the wartime 40s, Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng and Robert McKimson classics from the 1950s, and yes, even a smattering of Road Runner gems from the early 1960s. Additional fun from directors Bob Clampett, Frank Tashlin, Art Davis, and Norm McCabe. Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe LePew, Speedy Gonzales, The Goofy Gophers and Charlie Dog are among those featured.

While the shorts haven’t been included previous collections, this isn’t to say that they haven’t been released on Blu-ray before. For instance, The Bird Came C.O.D. was included with last year’s Warner Archive Blu-ray release of The Bride Came C.O.D.

Much like the many other Looney Tunes collections, Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Vol. 2 is a must-own.
